1978 Double Date Question

When it comes to the 1979s l have found double 9, double 79 and double 979 making it seem like a full 4 digit double is very rare.

Is this also the case with the 1978s ? lve found double 8s, double 78s and double 978s. Now in this BUC roll l just got l have found 15 which show distinct doubling of all 4 digits.

Are these 15 BUC double 1978s worh a premium or not ?

There are certainly double 1978s around. I have picked up the double 8, double 78, double 978 and double 1978 over the last year or two, all I think MS66, and I don't think I have seen any consistent pattern in pricing. They were all a little higher than the regular 1978, though not hugely so. Seems that they all come down to the whims of one or two bidders at a given point of time.
