I found today this coin.
If anyone can help with year, and value, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for your reply.

Garryson,

According to numismaster.com this coin was minted from 1892-1911. Every coin in the series has a listed value of between 25 cents to $1 in 'Fine' condition, BUT, the 1892 has a listed value in 'Fine' condition of $125. It doesn't list a mintage for the 1892 but for the 1911 (next rarest in the series)it lists a mintage of 3,634,000 so it seems that you have a very rare coin regardless of condition.

Congrats,

-Kurt

PS. Every site I have checked does not list a mintage for the 1892 10 Heller. I did see an ebay listing where someone has a buy it now price of $1400 for one that looks like it is in near mint condition.

Sorry, but it looks to me to be probably a 1893, In all of the examples I found the Austrians Used a 2 that came down much further on the top.

I was kind of wondering that too Rdwarrior.

I was thinking it looked possibly altered or intentionally damaged to cover up a 3.

I'll go along with that too; noticed that before getting this far down the thread.
Looks like a deliberately altered 3 by someone who was hoping to pass it off as the more valuable 1892.
Strange it was damaged in that exact area?
Mike.

I found yesterday with metal detector.
I do not think that someone deliberately damaged.
