Your pic is too small to see any detail, but I'm guessing that it's a clash.

Same principle as the hangings between 1953 and 1964, the clash mark is sometimes called cocoon, but if you call it a die clash it works too.

Usually when the clash goes all the way like yours does its called a hanging bud, when only the loop inside the branch shows its commonly referred to as a half moon.
