FlipOfACoin Valued Member 474 Posts	Posted 03/27/2012 1:57 pm Thanks for the information. The tape has been removed from the Red Seal and what remains is the residue. Would the serial number on the Red Seal be of any interest? It looks to be a relatively low number and both letters are 'A'. Report this Post to the Staff

Here in N.C. that $1 will sell for $5-$7 and the $2 will go for $10-$12. You would be amazed at what people are willing to pay for stuff like that. Report this Post to the Staff

biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 03/27/2012 6:41 pm Heh, my local shop has a cigar box of $1 SCs, mostly of a similar quality, and they are sold for $2 each. Red Seal $2s are in another cigar box for $5 each but a torn one would go into the cash register for change. I snag as many star notes as I can out of the SC box and I typically do not get more than $4-5 for a SC star note. Sounds like I need to take a trunk full of rag notes on a roadtrip to a North Carolina auction Report this Post to the Staff
