1960 D Jefferson Nickel Error? - Coin Community Forum

Alektorophobia New Member United States 7 Posts	Posted 10/15/2011 7:37 pm The ring itself is sunken in, the center part of it seems to be the same level as the rest of the coin. There are no marks on the other side of it which is why I thought it might be an error. The inside of the oval seems to show the same amount of wear/scratches as the rest of the coin. I acquired this from a collection of 1960 nickels that went up for auction locally (paid .50 for 18 nickels lol), and I know this person had these coins for a while, but that doesn't mean anything.
