Torn between F or VF. What say you?

Very nice coin BrickellCat, I dont know I think there is alot of detail but not enough to go VF(IMO) I think there should be a little more detail in the hair behind the ear, so I would grade it a Fine.

Really nice coin!
I'd say F15.

I have yet to own a coin with a date that starts with 17...

Wow! I have to tell you, when I see that, you, Brickellcat has posted a coin, that's the first post I go to! What an amazing group of coins you have!

In this 1798 DBD case, I see a VG-10 obverse (mostly due to marks/scratches) but a pretty sharp VF-20 reverse, so I'm going overall F-15.

A true beauty!

Thanks Moe. I guess net F15 is the consensus. I was sure hoping it would make VF though.

I'd grade it VF, but the scratches net it F. Beautiful coin, WONDERFUL toning - a knob 9 is high on my list!... one day.... =)

cwb - I can help you fix that problem if you like! =)
