Thanks murrellington, My 1909 S VDB is my favorite coin in my collection now. My favorite used to be my slabbed 1842 Seated dollar. I'm still learning how to post here but once I get the hang of it I'll have to take some pics of my other favorite coins and find where to post them. I've learned alot here in the past few months. Really glad I found this place !

gktbird . . very nice s-vdb. It looks like the top of the slab shows AU-55, not 50 as on the front, or is it just the picture?

Thanks Moe and qktbird, I'm pretty proud of those myself. They're Dansco type set pieces, so I'm aiming for VF on all the pre-20th century coinage. I have a couple more that I'll post later from this past weekend.

Went to a coin show this weekend and bought a couple of things. First up is a 1913-D Variety 1 for the Buffalo nickel album...

And here's this weekend's pickups. The Large Cent is an 1798/7 Draped bust S-151 R3+ I would peg as VG8, I'm considering getting it slabbed. And the 1876 Seated half is just a nice piece for my type set. Enjoy!

Fuzzy317- that is one B-E-A-utiful coin- I hope to have one of these in my collection someday. The gold color is very striking. I'm seeing sparkles. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get?

Thanks. I have wanted a 1 oz gold coin for a while, and CCF user L1011 had it for sale in the Member CCF Sales The sparkles are probably from my amateur photography skills.
