I think they are super buys, I'd love to find deals like that all day long but I have to disagree on the numbers some places were lucky to realize prices listed above.

Not to put your nickels down in any way. You did extremely well. Good for you!

The 1959 D and 1957 D nickels are not all that difficult to find with the grade and full steps like yours. Some dates are easier, some almost impossible but these are middle of the road coins when it comes to mint state full step Jefferson's from my experience.
I think maybe the FS designation prompted some excitement by less informed collectors who think it makes any Jefferson rare.
Makes me think people pay the little premium to have that on the label and it pays off to do it.
I see it on recent nickels too and almost all of those are common to find with full steps, yet they get a more money out of them in the bidding anyway.

I also don't think all the values on these price guides are correct when it comes to the full step category.
Many of the common dates can be cherry picked at normal prices for the same grade.
Is it worth paying a hundred bucks or more for a coin that could be searched for in a relatively short time in a well stocked Jefferson nickel box or tray, when the same quality can be had for maybe under $5.00?

I agree. I just thought it was a good price for slabbed coins. But if they go for that value awesome. I will have to keep tabs on the guy at the flea market to see if he stumbles across anymore. Its out in the middle of no where so it isn't convenient at all. I'll post some reverse pics soon. Still trying to get use to my new camera.

NGC Price Guide doesn't offer prices on the two listed above. I checked there.

I am still super excited. It's just in time. My wife and I just moved back home (well home for me) and we've got a little one on the way. I'm creating a website and soon a store front so we can both stay at home with the child. I can't wait to get them on ebay to help fund the massive expenses coming our way. God is definitely watching over us. I've not even been in town for one week yet and things are flying extremely well. As long as I stay as the co pilot I know all things are possible.
