JM Bullion has now also listed their Bombay Hook bullion as a third source. Pricing is in lockstep with Provident. Not sure about any of the other APs. As for your question about the total P mintages for the 2015 collector pucks, Bruce, note that the Mint put a maximum of 65K for each design in both types, bullion and collector. Extrapolating from the number sold of the bullion, Homestead (35K) a max of 30K, Kisatchie (42K), 23K, and Blue Ridge (45K), 20K. None of the three have sold more than 20K and as the year is drawing to a close, the Mint might just mint enough to sell through the end of year, leaving the numbers comparable to the 2013-Ps. Will not sell as many as the 2014-Ps because of the heavy sales of the 2015 bullion, which is ironic that they now cost as much as the collector version.

^ A few more dealers (e.g. Gainesvillecoins, SD Bullion, BGASC) have listed the Bombay Hook bullion coin now. Curiously, the lowest premium I found was $4.89/oz (or thereabouts) over spot. This is higher than for any of the recent ATB releases. Are the dealers gouging (again), or has the US Mint raised its premium on these? I fear it's the former...

Well, I placed my pre-order for the Bombay Hook bullion puck from APMEX back when spot was $14.44 and the CC price was 92.56 (just over $4 above spot per ounce). Now, however, spot is only a little higher at $14.55 but the CC price for the same puck is at $115.13 (a whopping $8.50 above spot per ounce if my math is correct). I have no idea what is going on or how long it will last, but for once I'm glad I pre-ordered.

Thank you Bizybackson for sharing your thought. I have been thinking of getting some of the graded (MS 69 DMPL) bullion 2015 pucks (in the $150 to $200 range)..... but from what you are saying, it's probably best to just get the -P puck.
For 2012 pucks, I only have the Chacco -P so far, too much money to fork out for the other designs on the aftermarket... :(

I blame the mint though for not reducing its price on the collector pucks.

I, too, wonder if the price will lower. I doubt it though since silver seems to be in lower supply.

Just a couple of thoughts: It seems the lower the spot price of silver gets the higher the premium...and vise versa The price of the P puck is just ridiculous but...they sell. I will add that I had a standing order for three P pucks but reduced it quite a while ago to only one. Silver is really not in short supply. The BLANKS for the ASE's are in short supply but that is a manufacturing issue not a metal issue.

According to figures published on Sep28 ( http://www.usmint.gov/about_the_min...pe=bullion), the US Mint already minted 35.6k of the Bombay Hook bullion coin. I'm sure given the average sales of the P version, the US Mint will mint a few more bullion coins, and probably in similar quantities to the previous two releases. APMEX had at one point a maximum order of 100 per customer per day on their site. These are popular for sure.

Yes, seems the premium is going up as spot has been decreasing. The local dealer around here does do the premium by percentage of spot so it kind of makes sense for his pricing. Also, a few weeks ago they said that silver rounds were their best price for silver being at $3.00 over spot, eagles were /$6 over spot. They said that 'junk' 1964 coins spot had really spiked.

Also, was the placement of this thread changed? I seem to recall it being in a different place.

Yes, nclt has been separated from the modern forum and combined with commemoratives as it was clogging the modern page and commems had little relative traffic

The Mint sold out of the bullion Bombay Hook of 45,000 to the APs yesterday, the first day they were offered. Now that there aren't any more to be had from the Mint, the premiums should start to creep up to match the earlier 2015 bullion. The Mint was unprepared for how popular these would become this year. I'm guessing they'll order more blanks for the upcoming 2016s next year, so while 45,000 might be high, the bullion coins this year are probably sleepers. Meanwhile the Saratoga coin goes on sale in two months, Nov. 30th. https://www.coinworld.com/news/prec...ullion.html#

Dealers only have to pay $9.75 above spot for these, so around $82.
