I contacted the US Mint regarding 2016 ATB 5oz silver coin mintages and got the following reply: "Please accept our apologies for any confusion regarding the production of the Shawnee National Forest 2016 Uncirculated Five Ounce Silver Coin (item # 16AJ). According to the item page in the United States Mint online catalog website for the Shawnee National Forest 2016 Uncirculated Five Ounce Silver Coin (item # 16AJ), there is not yet a determination of the mintage limit for this coin. Please continue to monitor the item pages for the various 5oz America The Beautiful Uncirculated Quarters for more information." Time will tell eventually... |

The Proof sets of these quarters have been pulled due to an error on the packaging. The silver Proof also will be delayed and repackaged for the same issue. Evidently the wrong picture was placed on the outerbox.

^ Couldn't agree more. ATB bullion are the best silver bullion investment there is. If you buy early you can buy them at a decent premium (paid US$920 for a roll from JMB last week, sans capsules though) and so far all apart from the 2011 issues have increased in value and become semi-numismatic. Agreed, these are harder to sell than ASE (hard is relative), but ASE have ZERO chance of gaining in value beyond their metal content. And compared to silver Pandas and all this SML privy nonsense ATB bullion premiums are very low. |

 The 2011 still have a strong premium. Gettysburg bullion sells at $100-110 per ebay and around $120 on retail bullion sites |

Well, I paid $154 for my 2011 ATB bullion coins on average which is probably lower what they cost back then (assuming you buy on day of release), but it's more than what they are worth now. Mind you, I paid $194 for the 2010 and $180 for the 2012 bullion on average. For argument's sake, let's say that ALL prior ATB bullion sell for a more or less significant premium over current spot at the moment.  |

A few years ago I paid around $210 for a 5oz ATB and now it's worth way less than that |

Yup...and a new roll of ASE's that you paid around $700 for "a few years ago" can now be purchased for half that price.... Hmmm...maybe, just maybe, it's related to silver dropping for $32 to $14 Just sayin'.... |

It's called dollar cost averaging, folks. Some ATB 5oz have risen dramatically, while other languish. But the point is made, most ATB while starts out at bullion or near bullion prices, soon rise above that, whereas ASEs are definitely tied to spot even those minted a few years ago. |
