To me this is a case of mix and match. oxmfl is right about the capsule being wrong. Anyone who's purchased a P-Puck knows you have to pry them out of the packaging with a crowbar. With that 1/8" gap, this one would drop right out if you turned it upside down.

If the seller has 100% feedback then probably an honest mistake. Still showing same photos.

...Well it has a bid so it can't be changed

...while I agree the surface is a tad shiny for a P but that, as mentioned, could be light angle and a crappy pic

...re: wrong capsule...well, if you enlarge the pic the COIN is the wrong size since there is WAY too much space between coin and insert edge. if the CAPSULE was edge to edge this coin would be way too small and rattle around inside.

Only explanation is that the capsule is not really firmly in the insert but angled over the edge at 2-3 o'clock

I guess someone will find out since they are willing to pay at least $199 for it..still 5 days to go

Also...good pick up on that off placed capsule or whatever it is

..and..if it is a bullion puck, which would be a dumb move, ebay will side with the buyer and the return shouldn't be an issue

Edit: the Clark P I linked on the previous page ended at $268

Well, the seller responded and said he will add a picture tomorrow as his store is closed Mondays. We'll see tomorrow.

Another one sold as 'best offer accepted' for $250 http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAP...52922672418).
Just one a side note, if you ever want to find out for how much something sold as a 'best offer', just go to the UK site of the ebay listing (replace '.com' with '.co.uk' in the web address; you may need to log in to the UK ebay site as well). This only works though for completed listings, it won't for auctions that are still ongoing.

I don't think he can change it after a bid has been placed. I tried that once and had to cancel and resubmit

...and nice score on one of your two for sale

I'm having trouble figuring out why someone would pay so much for a coin when they could have gotten it $100 cheaper two months ago from the Mint. Did they just 'wake up' this year?
Did they NOT WANT the coin earlier and recently changed their mind?

I am disabled with a brain injury, which may be the reason I can't figure out why. If anyone else out there has a 100% performing brain, can you give me the answer?

Well one reason is that all the recent P pucks have numbers in the 17k+ range so there was plenty of time to get one....no rush...well nope

First sales report was 14,612 and they only released 127 after that. It was "currently unavailable" forever

If you didn't subscribe or grab them in the first couple of weeks you missed the boat

...and now it's the lowest mintage P puck

Oh I forgot, since it was released December 5th the Mint couldn't mint any more after those few December weeks

The 'suspicious' listing has disappeared now and this is why:

"I have ended the listing. Bought the packaging at the shop on Saturday, didn't verity the coin. My bad. Thanks for the heads up!!"

I do feel sorry for anyone this happens to...

I posted a few days ago that I bought a OZARK RIVERWAYS unc 5 oz bullion round.
Here it is surrounded by 6 different quarters which are all also OZARK RIVERWAYS.
Jeesh, Glad I am not collecting the whole set.

I did a similar thing with my Effigy Mounds.

Very nice set you've got there, TNG!

The US Mint could make a lot of money by selling a complete set like yours, housed inside a book providing more detail about and photos of that National Park.

...well, the wolf in sheep's clothing is back:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2017-P-5oz...253474168682
So much for this dealer being honest then.
I guess it was just an honest mistake to relist it as the listing disappeared a few hours later.
