There are other options than a safe or safe deposit box if you are only concerned with theft. I hesitate to post them here as you never know who might be lurking in the shadows. I have a gun safe that is fire proof for 45 minutes and bolted to the floor. It stores my coins/bullion and firearms, only problem is I need another safe to sit next to it as the firearms eat up alot of real estate in it.

I also use this method to secure my collection and firearms as well. in addition I have monitored alarm service on the house for an added layer of prevention.
