Wouldn't veterans have all been entitled to the service, campaign, and other medals (with ribbands) awarded by the Defence authorities ? What purpose did this medallion serve ? oih82w8 Pillar of the Community United States 7840 Posts	Posted 03/19/2012 8:03 pm They were sold by the U.S. Mint; http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wc...63&langId=-1 I thought that the proceeds were to go to some foundation.
