Still waiting for two. Also 2 dinos, a grosbeak and an aster quarter all of which show ship date of today so I'm sure they'll come soon... It's only been 3 months since ordering and 2.5 months since the first missed ship date.

Shopping channel sold 50 of these today in 5 minutes for about $349 each and you can get them on ebay for $200 go figure.

50 sold at $349 each, that's roughly $10,000 profit. Pretty impressive considering how much they are going for on ebay right now.

I don't know if I like where this is going with the Mint. Bromberg is selling coins for the Mint with The Shopping Channel now, so I am assuming the Mint is also getting a cut of those profits on top of the wholesale cost of the coins. Double dipping? The Mint used to have their own show with The Shopping Channel, but now Bromberg is their official representative. I am sort of disappointed because I enjoy watching his other collections, now it is all NCLT Mint stuff, which I get enough exposure to already.
This is what I could see happening for future releases of popular coins: I can see this trend coin in the direction where the Mint comes out with 5,000 limited coins, but only sells 4,000 and keeps 1,000 back. 4,000 could sell out very fast artificially inflating the price of the coin, then the Mint could team up with Bromberg and The Shopping Channel and sell the remaining 1,000 coins at a huge premium. This is just a guess though. We are already seeing the Mint holding back coins such as the Titanic and Calgary Stampede coin. You know you will see the rest of the Stampede coins that didn't sell at the Stampede on the Shopping Channel in a few months at a huge premium.
I can totally see the Mint driving the market by pretending coins are sold out just to get an additional cut, which would be illegal in the stock market world.

Quote: Mint holding back coins such as the Titanic and Calgary Stampede coin i don't feel (or hope) that the RCM is that devious. The titanic was simply bought by the post, a move likely planned ahead of time between the two parties without either party anticipating the success of the silver plated piece (not a lot of people predicted this one). The stampede dollar again likely have the Stampede buying up a sizable chuck of inventory for sale at the event, which is completely understandable. So far I feel the RCM is more incompetent (or at least disorganized) than devious. Hope I'm right?

^I guess we will see how many Two Loons and Stampede coins The Shopping Channel gets in a few months. But yes, maybe I am assuming they are more competent than they really are.
