I spent 3 golden dollars at Wendys, 1 Kennedy at Subway, and 2 goldens at grocery store. The girl at Subway had never seen a half dollar before and asked me what it was. She was excited to get something new. I will bet she kept that one.

we missed counting either SilverRoosevelt or IowaHawkeye $1 spent, so the total should after jack jeckel's post, the total should be $69,390 I didn't keep track of each transaction over the weekend. Some were for gas in my truck, some were groceries/snacks, some were dinner tips. I spent over this past weekend: 119 Pres$ (of those 25-30 were gold plated) $69,271 to go I am out, hopefully my bank has more

Does this thread only apply to coins used while purchasing things?
Reason being is that last week I gave a kid (my friends son) on my fantasy baseball league an Ike and two Kennedys as a reward for making a trade this summer. Don't know if he's going to save them or spend them.

on non-purchases, I tend to make a judgement call. If I think they will eventually be spent, I usually count them. Times when cashiers say they are going to save them, I don't count them. In your case, I would probably count that as $2, since it is very likely they will spent.
