at a hotel this weekend I ran into a machine that would take in the dollar coins, but provide no credit, it just ate them. went to the front desk and the lady there was surprised about someone using dollar coins. gave us a dollar to replace it. here I thought all machines had to either accept the coins or give them back. this one just took them and gave nothing in return.
