That's so awesome! I can't even imagine the look on the cashier's face as you handed over the box of coins. I get confused looks from cashiers whenever I pay for something with Half Dollars...this must have been completely baffling to the clerk!

I'm getting ready to drop the rest of the box on them tomorrow when I stop at one of my dump banks to get rid of some halves as they are in the mall parking lot anyways so it won't be out of my to go there 2 days in a row.

Dropped another $400 in dollar coins on Sears, Roebuck, & Co on the way home. I still have $426 to drop on them but will have to resort to halves as I only have $150 in dollar coins left. $41,101.50 to go

Quote: I can't even imagine the look on the cashier's face as you handed over the box of coins No box. Just a big Zip Lock bag. I made the mistake of rerolling halves and paying my Home Depot bill and I ended up getting a sealed box from Loomis and it was $500 in rewrapped rolls which were the same ones I dumped on Home Depot so from then on it's always loose.
