Well, the last two weeks at the farmers market and around town, the usual amounts of half dollar coins were given as change. Last week was $226, the week before was $273. As noted we give out enough in a year that I cover the remainder of the challenge each year! Also, I happened to get and use $83 in mixed $1 coins (no Ikes) as well because we were low in dollar bills received that get used for bill paying on the cash bills. I keep hoping to get circulated half dollar coins of the years after 2001 that I do not have. We shall see. So...

Gah, I misread the total.

I should have knocked it down to $10,130.50 and the above post further reduces it to $10,121.50.

Spent $9 in dollar coin including 1 Ike at Walmart.

The kid looked at them. Counted them. Went back and looked at the Ike. I told him it was a dollar. He counted again. He went back and looked at the SBA. Then he just stood there and I told him again it was $9 and I guess he just gave up and took my word for it.
