Hi, I know this is almost impossible but I Would like to get a few opinions on this 1936 one cent (dot?) coin Iv'e had for awhile now & cant seem to let it go. I have seen the coins on heritage and from Coins and Canada and in comparison the dot on my coin seems to high but then I came across a article at Bellaonline stating "in the book the Standard Catalog of World Coins by Chester L. Krause and Clifford Mishler, they indicate that 678,823 of these special dot one-cent pieces were produced, but only one business strike and three specimens are currently know to exist" So does this mean perhaps there are more? On my coin I also noticed a dot on the right side of the N of Canada if that matters any. any feedback would be appreciated. Thank You.

I'm no expert, but that doesn't look like a 1936 Dot to me. The dot is in the wrong place and it looks too big.
It could be a die chip, but I don't know. The experts should chime in soon.

I have to agree that the dot is abnormal. It is located too high and is not perfectly round. A die chip or someone's experiment are the probable cause.
