I recently aquired my great grandfathers collection, which was mostly of canadian and netherlands coins but I found a few british as well. Among them was an immaculate 1928 One Shilling.

I have included pictures below, would anyone be able to give me a possible grade or value of the coin?

p.s there are no scratches, and no wear to the coin whatsoever. it only has a bit of toning which is normal for silver coins. I apologize about the darkness of the pics.

My 2008 catalogue give this coin a value of 20 pounds in uncirculated.

According to this site: http://www.coins-of-the-uk.co.uk/values/onesh.html

Denom Year F VF EF Unc
1s 1928 2 4 15 40

Your coin looks UNC, and a caution, those values above are taken from a UK site so they are in GB£, so approx UNC values after conversion:

CDA$63.51
US$63.54

Very Nice !

If you need that why not, but is it worth to be slabbed in plastic?

I don't think the cost of slabbing is justified, in terms of re selling price.

Put it in a 2 x 2 and note the grade on that. Lots cheaper.
