Wow look at that fall, chances are it will pop back up in the next four hours... that's when I can leave work and go give the dealer some of this ugly paper in my pocket.

Well made the jump as it is going back up I have to leave for an hour I was scared I would miss the below $30.00 window so I place my order for 160 ASE. SO now when it drops below $29.00 you all can thank me.

Ah well. I was thinking of making a (relatively) small purchase today if the price dipped significantly into the $29 range. Unfortunately, just as it dipped dramatically I was away from my computer and by the time I got back it had risen above $30 again.

The line is moving down slowly, which makes me think to tryin to scare us all out of holdings, but little do they know we just by more in those times.....

Well picked up the grandson at nursery school back now and see it is above $30.00 so for now glad I made the jump when I did been waiting for months now for it to drop below $30.00.
That will be my last buy for awhile now unless there is a HUGE drop then I may buy more.
Now have to get my check into the mail send it second day, no rush for the delivery as price is locked in.

What is driving the dip? All the news and typical indicators show silver should be going UP not down. What gives?

I agree about the reasons... The Fed is talking about QE again. France took a left turn yesterday; President elect François Hollande doesn't support the Euro zone economic reforms of his predecessor, Nicolas Sarkozy. Once France formally abandons Germany's efforts for economic reforms, the Euro zone is all but doomed financially. Add to that the uncertainty over the upcoming US elections and what positive (or negative) impact that might have on the USA's own fiscal and monetary problems. Oh, yeah. Lots of reason for turbulence in the PM markets. Quote: silver should be going UP not down I think it's the ETFs and other paper. It's causing PMs to move more like equities.

Quote: I think it's the ETFs and other paper. It's causing PMs to move more like equities. Coupled with an improving dollar, as of late, I agree with that assessment. And paper silver is so, so easy to manipulate. ETFs are just one big Ponzi scheme. We all know from experience that they never end well. Get out while you can.

Improving dollar as of late? It has been below 80 for quite a while now and has taken a shellacking the last couple days. What do you mean stronger dollar?

I checked it against several currencies and it looked like it had been improving since mid-April. I'll show you the chart I used. Maybe I read the chart wrong. I'm kind of bleary-eyed from lack of sleep right now, to be honest. Sorry if I got it backwards. http://www.oanda.com/currency/converter/
