biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 05/30/2012 11:43 am A Cud is a specific type of die break that involves the face and shank of a die, it will always emanate from the edge of the coin. Basically, the edge of the die broke off which left a void that appears as a blob on a struck coin. Value is fairly low on a well-circulated coin with a small Cud but it is still a real error worth a few dollars. Report this Post to the Staff
