The only date from 1816 through 1857 that I don't have, the 1823. I've been picky about that date and have missed a couple of nice slabbed mid-grade examples, but patience is a virtue here. I also have an 1821 in an ICG XF-45 holder, the coin is very sharp, but it's dark and appears to have had some lacquer and some cleaning in the past. I'll replace it one day too.

Moe - that looks like it might be an overdate on the 4? Maybe it's just the picture.

Moe - I just noticed that you know it's a 4/2 - duh on me!

Paleoguy's may be a 4/2 also.

Thanks for the heads up MackWork. Here's a closeup of the date. I can't tell if it's a result of the hit in the "4" or a 4/2.. I think I see over indicators that match the 4/2. Thoughts? PG

The more I look at PG's '24 LC, the more it looks the same as mine, overdate-wise!!

PG - it's got a hit, but it does have that little nub on the upper right side of the 4, and another indication of a 2 on the bottom left of the 4. I'm no expert, but I'd say those make it a 4 over 2!
