Hi Appleangel - yep, would have been over the moon if the zero had been there, or another 6 for that matter!
Great notes spg - particularly the M&E EA96, I imagine that would have set you back a bit unless you have held it for years.

BankNoteLover; there are some extremely rare notes in this post, I guess it comes down to the following factors: - Scarcity/rarity
- Condition
- Year &/or signatory
- Prefix/test note
I'm curious to know what you'd consider to be rare as far Australian banknotes go? To me we are passionate collectors, not wealthy executives sitting on gold mines.

Nice notes, thanks for sharing.
Sorry, maybe I should of phrased it differently, since I guess any note can be called rare/scarce or one of a kind if you involve the serial numbers.
I'm new to this forum, but I've been passionately collecting notes for a while now. Pre Decimal and some decimal's here and there.
In terms of what I consider rare.. Hm...
Most of the earlier George V pre decimal notes in higher grades in natural condition are very, very rare. Such as the R44 Five pounds, which I believe there is only 2 known in true UNC condition. Hmm.. And even some in any grade are very tough, such as the R19 Superscribed or R20 Emergency Issue, which is commonly known for being trimmed, repaired or with pinholes and tears.
Hmm. I dont think I should post any pics yet, but I may for those who want to see particular notes perhaps, that is if I have one!
