I coin roll hunted for the first time yesterday intending to search 1/2 dollars, but the bank I went to did not have them. I decided to get $25 in pennies instead and below is what I found. I kept all the wheat pennies, 1959, and S mint marks I found. Are the '59s and S mint marks worth keeping? I also looked for some errors that I'm aware of but who knows if i'd recognize them when I come across them. I just winged it and didnt really know what I was looking for. I spent all my time figuring out what halves to save...I asked them to order me some so I'll probably have a better idea of what I'm doing next time.

1959
1959 D (5)
1969 S (3)
1972 S (2)

Wheat Pennies:

1945 D
1945

1% wheat pennies seems a bit high, so I feel good about that. I also got 4 canadian pennies.

to CCF. IMHO the best of that bunch is the 1925 & 1927 because it's hard to find LWC prior to 1930. Good luck on your roll hunting.

to CCF and the addiction that is CRH!

As for the wheats, I usually find between 10-20 per box so I would say you did pretty well.

Excellant, by my standards! I'm involved in a scouting project & avg. less than 10/box. I've taken to trading, they're getting tougher to pull, and I find a war nic brings a nice little selection & with the quantity we need, it would take forever. BTW, these sets being put together contain just the date, not all the mms.
