Found in a machine where I very rarely find anything:
- Somewhat dirty Pennsylvania State Quarter.
- Banged up / chopped up 2004-D dime, possibly still spendable.
- 2020 cent.
- 1936 LWC that looks better than the one I already had in my book!

This is what I like to see when I walk up to a Coinstar:
Coinstar-Finds!-Including-Bank-Counters-And-Other-Machines
Confirmed that there was a suspected Mercury dime in there and pocketed the harvest.
Coinstar-Finds!-Including-Bank-Counters-And-Other-Machines
After shopping I went to a second store with a Coinstar that yielded a clad dime. Then to a third location - the one that most regularly pays out. As I walked up to it I remembered that it was out of service, but some idiot had dumped their coins on the Out of Service notice on the tray.
Coinstar-Finds!-Including-Bank-Counters-And-Other-Machines
All in all, $2.10 in spendable coins (not counting the zincoln 2 cent piece) and two silver dimes: 1942-S and 1964-D. Not a bad day for harvesting!
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Really good finding silver Hondo!

Aside from a few nice little piles (including another silver dime) over the last few weeks for my finds, this was quite an unusual find at my local coinstar a couple of days ago, a better date aluminum 1999 Somalia 10 shillings FAO found on top of the machine...

Hondo, did you check that nebraska homestead quarter for a DDR?

i went to publix tonight and scored some stuff from the coinstar:

Coinstar-Finds!-Including-Bank-Counters-And-Other-Machines

Coinstar-Finds!-Including-Bank-Counters-And-Other-Machines

i scored a gold-plated 2002-D mississippi Statehood Quarter and a 2024 bahamas five cent coin. I like the bahamas coin because it has a pineapple on it. I am fond of pineapples.

Coinstar-Finds!-Including-Bank-Counters-And-Other-Machines

two nickels and five dimes (dunno why the machine rejected those, but I don't care, they're mine now )... sixty cents, plus I toss that gold-plated quarter into the spenders, so eighty-five cents. I have an eighty-five cent head-start on tonight's search.

joy.
