Hi all. I am hoping to get some help grading this penny. I am probably going to list it on ebay, but would like to know whether it would be worth while sending it to a TPG before listing it.

What grade could I expect to get on this coin?

I'd say that on ebay you might realize a higher sale value because the authenticity would be assured if you have it certified. It wouldn't hurt on the grading either; if you're pretty sure the coin is MS, it would help if it's certified MS to distinguish it from other sellers claiming their raw coins to be MS+++ PQ etc.

I'd say list it on ebay
At best it's a ms60 coin

I had a few rolls of these and was getting $100 plus per coin but these coins were then being sent off and grading ms64 and 65 by the people who bought them.

aarspeed - I purchased this one off ross (as well as one other) I have found 3 CRH and purchased a very high graded one on the coin forum.

truth is, unless someone is desperate or it is HIGH graded/certified, you wont usually see more that 70-80$ for one. I sold one similar condition for 70.00$ and one a few months ago for around 90$ (as well as swrbxxx has sold plenty that range from 51$-140$)

supply and deman!
