I am thinking AU based on what looks to be some rub on the cheek and hair of the Indian and a little bit on the buffalos hip.

Any chance of getting better pictures up-loaded? From what I can see, it looks to me like AU-55 but better pictures would indicate if this is just a weak strike or actual wear. Nice looking coin.

Looks AU-55. I changed the photo's around and you could see the wear:

I know the color is different but it was too bright.

It is an AU coin. Keep in mind that the 31-S was struck with dies that left the coin looking very shinny...usually all the way down to VF-20. That fools many people. That being said, an AU 31-S isn't bad and yours looks to have a better than average strike for the year as well.

I agree with AU. Very slight wear on the hair, cheekbone, and buffalo leg.
