Ok here is another one I have.

I was told it was worth a fair amount, but this could be bogus.

Any help pointing me in the direction of what this coin is and the value is more than appreciated.

Austro-Hungarian Empire. Early 20 century.
Need the other side or at least the size for more.

Well you have a 1915 Austrian 100 corona coin. The problem is the year, 1915. According to my rather old Krause catalogue, 1915 coins are restrikes and and should be valued as BV+2% for what should be 0.9803 oz gold.
If you check the ebay, they are 2 such coins with 2200$ bid on them at the moment (and several others with over 2000$ price tag).
I'm afraid, I'm not the expert to say is authentic or not.

I took awhile to reply. Sorry about that.

I am not sure if I am tracking on this. What is the problem with the year? And What does it mean "restrike"?

Sorry about my coin-collector-ignorance, please bear with me.

Warmest...

Restrike means only that it probably was not made in 1915, Austria has struck this coin for many years, all with the 1915 date. I think they still make them today. That being said your coin is just a bullion coin, it has no value over the gold content.

Right, but the gold content alone should make it worth (if one wants to sell it) about €900 or $1,100 these days - not too bad. ;)
