Check Jeff's right in front of Jeff's forehead for the M and the back of his head for the O of MONTECELLO. It looks like a fairly strong clash. Unless it was polished away, I bet there is some clashing on the obverse. I love Jefferson clashes. The typical 1978 (TDC-5c-1978-01) listed on maddieclashes.com is the first error coin I ever found. I find the patterns made in the dies interesting especially when there are scribbles in several different directions. It is a cool coin and would be fund to find other die progressions to put with it in a set. Report this Post to the Staff
