Belgian Congo is another colony disappearing from the map today. Prior to 1909, the country was named "Congo free state", with King Leopold governing the country without the Belgian government authorized to interfere.

One last 20 Centimes coin from Belgian Congo and the only one still carrying the monogram of Leopold II:
