Thanks Wade, I appreciate it! I'm excited to learn as much as I can myself from the community in turn. To add, UC-10, a scarcer piece, albeit quite corroded. Big fan of the sloop token series. On the hunt for an example of the 1815 Nova Scotia mule.

You say mule, I say HEEHAW. A flawed gem I dug up prospecting ebay before dealers, overpriced slabs, and endless runs of birthday or marriage sets from 2006 (damn, if no one bought it then, why now?). Sadly, it had been cleaned. Happily, it was less than $20 way back in them there old days of 2007ish.

Quote: Wade: not mine, but still a very unique piece. too bad about the road rash on the rims. @Wade:I bid on this token yesterday, but in the end I thought it was in too bad condition, so I passed. Not to mention that I recently acquired 2 tokens of this series with "minor" planchet flaw, which are in addition to others already in my possession with similar defect. 1/2 Penny 1854 - Obverse: 1/2 Penny 1857 - Reverse:
I'm sorry if my English isn't perfect... I'm learning a little more every day.

Those are some neat errors! Here's what I believe to be a Lees 19 that I grabbed off ebay for under 10 bucks. Had the fingers crossed for Lees 20, but there seems to be a bump on top of that ampersand... @TerryT - Great detail on that example! Would kill to pay 20 bucks for something like that now haha

That's a beauty find and in a really nice grade too! I wonder what those concentric circles between the bust/harp and rim are? Here is my similar, but much more common, LC-60E2

the circular lines are kind of typical for early die state for this series

Those circles are lines from machining the face of the die prior to engraving or impressing the design into it. The cutting tool either chipped or a shaving got lodge at the cutting edge creating a groove in the die face which in turn shows as the raised circles on the piece. Fairly common for hand operated lathes of that time period.
