I have some grayside but not heavily into it. I couldn't pass up this original looking piece. This is graded as VG which is quite conservative. I think it could go Fine on the optimistic side. This is one of my favorite Canadian pieces I own.

I agree with you.I think the coin would easily grade as F. I'm a bit envious - my example does grade as VG.You didn't ask,but the price in F in the latest CCN trends is CDN $35.00.

Thanks, Bill for the pricing. I thought retail was about $20 U.S. Maybe it went up a bit since I last looked.

The reverse design on these pre 1937 50 cent coins is much nicer than those that followed.
