This type is often called a follis, some prefer nummus and others use a system based on size- AE4 (less than 17mm), AE3 (17- 21mm), AE2 (21- 25mm), and AE1 (25mm +) where AE means bronze. We don't actually know what the Romans called these bronze coins. I typically use follis or folles for plural.
