RedRaider Pillar of the Community United States 1025 Posts	Posted 04/25/2014 7:16 pm Here are pics of the 1883 S-1 that I got from Rick this week. I bought it for 4.6% of what he is selling the 65RD example. Its a tough variety, one I always look for and have only found 1 of unattributed. It really looks good from the pictures. Every coin I have bought from him raw has graded without problems, so hopefully I can keep the streak alive. This variety is just as hard to explain as the 1897 S-1 "1 in neck" variety. Heres my 1884: I didnt get pics of it, but an 1884 S-1 (84 in denticles, star on shield) is at PCGS right now, should grade AU58, maybe get a low MS. Report this Post to the Staff

RedRaider Pillar of the Community United States 1025 Posts	Posted 04/27/2014 11:07 am Here is a pretty cool lamination. 2 peels of the top layer of metal go clear across the obverse. Its graded, MS64BN, but there is at least 30% red remaining, mostly on the reverse. Report this Post to the Staff
