United Kingdom Royal Mint Coin Set 1994 Trial Two Pounds First Bi-metal Coin in UK ( scarce ) I almost lost this the other day for $5.00 as I didn't know what it was when I sent it to auction. The open bid went that low and my auctioneer put it aside with no sale. Nobody else knew what it was either luckily, because they routinely sell between $200 and $400 when they are offered. I knew what was at stake while it was up for bids, as I learned about it after I submitted it. Now it's back home to stay. I did not open it. It is still in the partial opened and "stickered" perforated baggie. I wondered if I should leave it just like it is? Nobody has seen the actual blanks and test token or coin inside since 1994. But they are in there I bet. Would you open it? Here's what it looks like with the sailing ship on the reverse. The first image is my package, the rest I found by googling and altering some so nobody can say I stole them.

I like that, a more modern naval vessel.

I don't believe this has been posted yet. It's a recent purchase and a beautiful design. Also, it's the second largest coin I own now and the first from Liberia. 1999 Liberia $10 Proof KM #468 .925 Silver 25g 38.7mm
