Nice! Give that buff a bath in some vinegar if you can't make out the date.

No way! No way! No WAY! I can't believe it. Just yesterday I found my first IHC, described down on this page https://goccf.com/t/38685&whichpage=784#2200674. This is after a lot of rolls. My oldest son was very disappointed that he didn't get it, and I told him that he will get the next one. So this morning I got a whole bunch of rolls and boxes, and while checking roll-enders I found this! I'm going to give it to him to open when he comes home from school. One of our goals is to break the 1900 barrier. Right now the family record for earliest coin found in a roll is 1903 set yesterday with the IHC. My son previously had the record with a 1907 V nickel. Let's see if he takes the record when he opens this roll! I'm thrilled. Note that these are machine-wrapped rolls; I thought paper were best given hoard dumps, but now I am not sure what produces the best coins.

thats very kind of you. Maybe hide the ender side down, so he doesn't see it right away. You could act surprised too! hahah, nicely hunted.

Excellent! Who knew your second IHC find would be so soon and so obvious.

Nice! It's not exactly the most beautiful coin, but one heck of a roll find, especially as an ender.

Bought $10 of cents today... two enders (52-D and 56-D) gave me hope there would be a lot of wheaties... but alas, only 4 more (45, 51-S, 2-58-D) out of the other 998 coins... along with a 60-D Small Date. Still, a good ratio. Picking up another box of halves tomorrow, and I'll be loading up on cents too.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!
