Quote: These sales are crap and from now on I will be ultra picky as to what I buy. Fed up with my coins selling for half price.
Really makes me dislike this hobby. Congrats, New1954! This is the way for improvement in this hobby. I remember, months ago (half a year or bit more), your way was "since you have a budget, you will choose all you like" this is still relevant, though, just need to wait, and get the general stuff for market price (which is almost always lower than issue). Hopefully, we'll still like our NCLT (and the hobby), even realizing, that accumulated collection valued a fraction of what we paid for it.

The Coin Shoppe offers something absolutely new:
Hand-made silver rounds (and not only rounds), very limited mintage (some items 100 and some 300 worldwide), some items come with Certificate (i think it's numbered and probably the S/N populated at the moment of the purchase).
Why in the "sale section"? Cause all these items priced as bullion with small premium! (no inflated prices being "justified" by small mintage, just the price of metal content)

Colonial Acres sells lots of hand poured chunks and shapes and other silver items (skulls, pistols and bullets are interesting) at basically bullion value plus a bit. But these are just silver. IMO, there is little to no numi value despite the claims of limited 'mintages'. Never the less, I have bought some over the years just for fun and as a different store of silver value. http://www.colonialacres.com/catego...lver-bullion

You right CC-Ottawa
the hand-poured bars, rounds and other shaped items, aren't close to numis products.
But, what was interesting for me in items that The Coin Shoppe sells: i have no idea, who are the "Beaver Bullion", surelly not big refinery (more likely - one-man self operated business), but their items have artistic and not common look. And, the items are stamped with "BB" (Bullion Beaver) and TCS (The Coin Shoppe Mark) plus certificate, which being only paper, but has to represent responsibility of the issuer for the items.

Paid $160 + PST = $171 for that basketball coin just a few months ago. Now could have gotten it for $118 or $50+ difference. Pretty disappointing.

@moneyPenney
Same here. Paid full price for that basketball coin. I am so tired of this.
@justsilver
Do you have the rest of the series?
