Although some exceptions still exists, numismatic values for most modern day RCM products is quickly diminishing. This even holds true for some of the more rare ones. It's to the point where I think most dealers are offering either face or bullion values for most these coins. This already applies to ALL Canadian RCM gold coins. Even recent ones.

I hope that you got these coins on the secondary market and not straight from the mint at retail. The flipping market for any brand new retail NCLT or coins for that matter is not worth the time, money or energy.

if you buy nclt coins at retail or close to it.. unless it is a new and or a still in demand coin..
rule number 1... never ever sell at auction determined price..
rule number 2... see rule number one..
last year's superman coins are not a coin, to sell in auction style..period..

T1Steel I have a physical store and carry RCM product. I don't "flip" or really sell new RCM products online other than the rare occasion of purging stock where I don't really care what the end result is even if it's a loss. Two reason's for that. The margins are too small and it's difficult to compete with some of the larger dealers on price (who theoretically should be wholesaling not retailing). The few point advantage they get makes a difference. The RCM wholesale to dealer structure sucks and the mint is not very diligent at keeping the wholesalers in line. Bottom line is RCM products represent a very small portion of my business and taking a loss on a coin or two is irrelevant to the bigger picture.

what about the wholesalers that the mint is hush hush about..or the inside buyers who get tons of a single item way over buying limits..i can point out at least 3 ebay sellers who sell items wholesale way below dealer costs.. after a year, of the item being listed new..so RCM does in my opinion have "liquidator dealers".. because there is no way someone buys a 100 of any one coin to sell at a loss..

Colonial Acres Coins launched with success new website.
While developers and QA eating sandwiches and cookies with the coffee after "go live" night and management celebrate in the restaurant, we can enjoy renovated interface.
New addition: they able to show the amount of item in the stock! This is nice feature, although I wouldn't trust it 100% cause:
**first of all depends on updateInventory function. **easily manipulated - no one obligated to project the real numbers.
Anyway, enjoy the new site, and do not forget to pickup some nice Canadian coins (more is better to save on the shipping).

The Colonial Acres new website is well done, very nice.
But it does not explain how the point system works. Every coin has points, the more expensive the more points. But what is the valuation of the points? Do you redeem right away like Gatewest Coins or later like CC&C?
Also, is the 5% off for VIP members been replaced with this new system?

Quote: Also, is the 5% off for VIP members been replaced with this new system? I am not VIP with them (cause despite all the purchases, never did it with the account), but the mail that I got from CA stated, that the Customer Accounts in the "old" site will not be transferred by default to the new one, and it's customer responsibility to create new account. I assume, that after creating new account, customer can call CA and ask to transfer the points.

In their banner, CA officially announced the "Black Friday" sale, on Dec 26-th 2 PM EST.
Not clear, will the do "in-store" sale (lining-up, waiting to enter the store and grabbing the discounted items - are important parts of the Black Friday shopping experience), but online sale surely will take place.

Quote: But it does not explain how the point system works. I went in and asked since there is no information on the website. You have to sign up and create an account before being able to access information on the points program under your profile. Webpage doesn't work with Firefox. I did just that last week and used a $5 discount towards my first online purchase and should be getting a 300 point bonus for signing up as a new member.

Or this is mobile version, or the CA doesn't filter, but on their website, everything listed together - discounted and not discounted stuff. It is so annoying to go over all these subsections ans see all the coins, some of them for sale. I believe that people still can find something worthy (like Go7 coin for CAD 35), but shopping experience is really "low level".
