Darn I was just looking for some of my coins to post ... and see I missed posting my Three Cent Silver and the Type III gold dollar from my type set. Both are 1862 ... not sure why I was thinking they were 1852. I did have a 1853 3cS before I upgraded it ... missed that one yesterday too. Funny how we can miss posting the better coins sometimes.

Quote: Funny how we can miss posting the better coins sometimes. You'll just have to stick around for the fourth edition. I have missed posting many, many nice coins because I am disgracefully disorganized, and lacking in photos. Meanwhile, here is some familiar USA copper.

We ought to have a patch or some other type of identifier for those who are absent minded, forgetful, too busy, etc...
I can be a member of that club, I too, have let life get in the way of posting more than a few of my collection including my latest piece of gold. I'll get around to it, like most of us will.
We now return to our regularly scheduled thread.

Nothing says we have to post every coin we have for a given year. I've been limiting myself to one per year for the most part. I'll save some for next year's thread. I assume the 4th edition will start sometime in 2016, since the current thread should start pausing before the end of 2016 (unless we can get back into the 1300s without any delays).

Lovely 1851 coins so far... I'll now spoil things by posting a holed French 1-centime of the Second Republic - at least the hole illustrates that the coin is struck in 'coin' rather than 'medal' alignment!
