I will be missing a lot of years ...soon.

I wonder what will be the first year that won't be posted on the first day.

I might have to scope through the previous editions and make an educated prediction.

Unless someone else wants to beat me to it.

Same here, starting in the late 1700s. By the mid 1700s, there are more missing years than coins (in my collection).

This 'coin' is one of my early, expen$ive lessons in curbing one's enthusiasm.
Of course it came back from ANACS labeled 'questionable authenticity'.
Posting here for educational/informative value.
Hopefully it will not disturb the karma of the thread too much.
jbuck kindly delete post if inappropriate.

Funny how easy it is to see, after additional years of experience, what *should* have been obvious at first glance.
Unfortunately this was not the only time I was blindsided by the skill of the Chinese numismatic rip-off industry that is presently shaking the foundations of the hobby.
Even more unfortunate is the fact that that industry shows no signs of slowing down.
Carry on forewarned.

I looked back at the second edition. Unless I missed something, 1783 was the first year that missed a day (a single day).

I had to go back and look also ....

I would not have guessed 1783.

You won't have that happen this year.
I just purchased a 1783.

There are some years I didn't have for the second edition that I will have for this one by the time we get there.
