The kid and I just finished off the Whitman classic P&D album including territories in MS! It was a fun project of only doing one year each week. LOL Good bonding time. Moving on to, her favorite, P&D Sacagawea dollars next. We will probably do PDS Susan B as well since it is such a short series. We are also looking forward to tackling the 20th type set in a picture frame. http://www.worthpoint.com/worthoped...4-1067400224I think it will make for a very fun project and provide a good way to introduce her to some of the classics. Relatively short series but a bit more pricey. Presidential dollars are fun as well, the the NIFC issues are tricky to get from circulation. Good luck! |

Where can we trade State Quarters? I am in Denver, so I find lots of great quality Denver mint coins, and struggle to find the Philadelphia coins. I am looking in bank rolls, and I am hoping to trade for same quality circulated coins. Thanks |

heres a thought for everyone bored of State Quarters, I started keeping Oklahoma D , because it is the lowest minted coin in the series. granted 194 million isn't that obscure, its just something to think about it..... |

I will keep posting to get to the limit. I have been CRH for most of mine, and I keep finding perfect "D" coins. it kills me to put them back in circulation.
I also tried posting on the Philadelphia Craig's list to see if I can find a partner out east.

I had 2 maps for the State Quarters, one for P and one for D, that I filled from circulation when they were still issued. I also have a filled Dansco P&D album. I also have all of the silver proofs, but those are staying in the sets (I can't break them open). I remember when the State Quarters were still being issued, we would buy a roll or two of each P mint from the bank for face value. Banks in our area would only get the P mints so I would pay $13 to a dealer for the D mint rolls. I guess that wasn't a good investment. A year ago my father gave me all of his State Quarter rolls to sell (many multiples and many missing). All of the dealers that I spoke with would not buy them. They all said "No one wants State Quarters anymore". One dealer told me he recently cashed in hundreds of uncirculated rolls at the bank for face value because he could not sell them. It is nice to read that there are still people out there looking for these from circulation. |
