Here is my Edward I long cross penny (1272 -1307). I do not own my avatar, but that too is an Edward I penny that I almost bought. But then I bought this one for $12.50, and now it is one of my favorite coins in my collection. Maybe someone with the knowledge could better tell me what I have. All I know about it is London mint. I see that some of these hammered pennies can be attributed by class and year, and I know very little about them.

@Davidrj - Are you sure that that is a 'Farthing' and not a 'penny'?
The 'Pennies' had the longcross so that they could be 'cut' in half to make a 'Halfpenny' and again to make a 'Fourthing' (farthing').
It is also the same (similar) to (at least) two other examples on this thread.
I could always be wrong, but I think that you have a full 'penny' there and not a 'Farthing'.

@davidrj Thank-you for that. I learnt something. I have a Quarter of a 'Farthing' coin, but I was not aware that a 'Farthing' that could be divided into quarters was made. So there you go, I live and learn. Thank-you.
