Most Emperors did not intentionally try to screw up the government . If I remember correctly, Commodus and his Praetorian Prefect appointed and dismissed 25 men to be Consuls in one year to try to destabilize the government . Report this Post to the Staff

Sounds like the history of humanity with the haves and have not's There is a big difference though Med. with an autocrat such as Domitian and a man who thinks he is the reincarnation of Hercules and clubs cripples to death in the amphitheater.
