I bought 1 when the first came out when the HH limit was 10. I just tried to order another one and it said my household limit had already been reached Boycott the mint.

jack jeckel, the mint updated the 1 piece HH limit to include previous purchases so that anyone who already ordered one or more would not be eligible to buy today. FYI to everyone buying today, my order # is USM047927XX.
The Order History page is messed up (probably deliberate because searches slow the site down). All of my orders show as PROCESSING and clicking on any order just reloads the history page.

I think I bought mine at 20 seconds after noon today. Now I have all three. I sure hope they go up in value in 15 years and I am alive to see it and then pass them down the line. All you have to do is mint a coin and make it difficult for collectors to buy it and then they really want it. I think the one per household rule is good unless they don't sell out fast. If they don't see out then guys like Jack and perhaps myself should get another crack at it. If they drag like the SLQ's and LWH's then up the limit to 5. By managing supply they can manage appeal I think. How many of the LSQ's and LWH's are left now and has the limit been lifted. Did the Mint make a realistic Buffalo nickel as a commemorative. I can see making commemoratives for many outstanding coins such as Morgan dollars, Peace dollars etc. What about a pure gold 1804 silver dollar? I think they should make them actual size even if they have to add a baser metal like silver. Imagine a gold Flowing hair dollar?

Wegner, your pics aren't the best but from what I can see, your coin looks great. The quarter obverse is probably the least liked design of the three, but the reverse is great. terry8835, the Buffalo nickel was revisited on a silver dollar in 2001 and has been on the one ounce 24K gold bullion and proof since 2006.

My order was 967 so you beat me by 40 I think. I was confused by the order process for a few seconds. I wonder how many will be left by the end of the day?

Ok thanks. I've been having problems taking good pictures those are probably the best I've gotten the few times I took them. I can't see a lot of those details when I look at it with just plain eyes or with a magnifying glass usually.

Wegner, I use a Bausch & Lomb 3 lens loupe ($35 from APMEX, surely cheaper elsewhere). It has 5, 7, & 9X lenses and you can combine them for up to 20X. There is some limitation looking through the capsule so I open it and take the coin out for photographing (if you plan to do this invest in some cotton gloves). The capsule has a lot of reflection issues (as you have already figured out) and can sometimes confuse the autofocus on your camera. I also find it best to turn the flash off and/or use diffuse lighting (something as simple as frosted tape or a piece of white paper over the flash works). As you can see, I sometimes get a little carried away trying to get good super closeup images,

I think they'll be gone by the end of the day, assuming others got the email ad that I did. There were quite a few that didn't get them first time around and wouldn't buy on the secondary market on principle. We'll see.

I hemmed and hawed on this but ended up getting the dime. I'm not sure I'll keep it but wanted to give myself the option.

^ Same here, I succumbed to the inside pressure and ordered one.
I think it will take days now for these to sell out, but I doubt many if any will be available for a potential $5 price drop next Wed.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got the Product notification from the mint 2 hours before sales began. Usually those emails arrive several hours after noon ET and occasionally after a sellout has occurred. Ninety minutes and still for sale but I am betting that they will be gone before tomorrow as well.
They just ran out! If they started with 9000, they went at just under 100 per minute.
First they went "Currently Unavailable" and are now "Sold Out".
