Objectivity is a subjective thing, but I try and grade as I would if I were interested in buying the coin from an ebay auction. I try to determine what my high bid would be based on the grade. I use Photograde and try to consider all the grading markers for that particular series and denomination. I also try and give an opinion on originality, or whether the coin has been cleaned, as this can determine value.
