I am still puzzled with coins like this. Even though some devices appear wider, more of them appear to be more narrow, so I am thinking it must be MD.

It looks MD. The angle shots capture the shelf-like doubling where the die moved burnishing the material of the devices. The devices look wide for this reverse design, so that might be contributing towards some of the confusion.

I also detect a little ramping from the shelf to the device. That usually seals the deal for me.

Wouldn't there also be some split serifs or notching if it were DDR?

Note the flatness of the "doubling". If it was a DDR it would be on the same level as the devices.

While this is Machine Doubling, I see something a bit more interesting about this coin. Note the edge of the die on the 2:00-5:00 area. Note that area next to the rim. I would like to see a shot showing that entire area. I believe the die is suffering from attrition in this area?

It is still minor at this point on your coin, but it is a start. Here is an example I found a few years ago:

I was hoping for images of the reverse from 2:00-5:00 on the rim area. It is Machine Doubling on the devices, but that area near the rim on the reverse, I would like to see more images of.

There it is. Looks like minor die attrition. Nice find for that. I've only found one so far.
