BH, thought the mintage was upped to 50,000 for JFK unless I missed a retraction of that.

Yes, the Kennedy moving to 50k as discussed in the Truman thread.

Whoa! Thanks guys. I just saw the 25,000 figure in Coin World and thought I'd share it. Looks like it's already out-of-date. Darn periodicals are like ancient history these days.

Well here is my Two Cents worth on possibly why the Ike mintage wasn't raised. It could have had something to do with not only the coins but the packaging. These sets are coming out about 6 weeks apart and most likely the packaging materials had already been made for the Ike dollar and there wasn't time to make more Ike packaging AND double the packaging for the Kennedy to 50,000 in just a few weeks? IDK...just thinking out loud. Like I said it's a possibility perhaps..... Good luck to all on Tuesday. It will be interesting to see just how well the mint website holds up to the expected stampede Something tells me this will be a tried and true test to she what she's got in her

They are getting to be as bad as Red Book coin prices.

They could raise the mintage and put the set on back-order status until additional packaging is available.

It just popped in my head that mintage numbers are obviously not defined by Congress under the bills that supports the specific coins huh? That's interesting

Truman set sold out at 17K

Ike set will sell out at 17K

FDR set still available after almost a year with a 20K limit.

Teddy Roosevelt sales closed out at 15K after sales became stagnant.

I think the only reason the FDR set is still available is the mint is hoping to cash in on the sudden success of the Truman set and get people to try to scrape up all of the previous sets if they can find them.

I guess the majority of people could care less about what the sets represent and just want a get rich quick unique coin with the RP sets.

As a small dollar collector, I'm not interested in medals and I'm not interested in getting the same coin in different packaging. I just have to purchase these sets to get the reverse proofs. I did purchase 5 of the Truman sets because I knew they would increase in value and I'll be able to use them as trade fodder if I miss one of the other reverse proof small dollar coins.

Just a quick question:

What is the best page to be on with the Mints Site at Noon? I'm usually on the page that designates the type of coin selling; In this case Presidential Coins. This doesn't always work out best.
I was thinking the 2015 Product Schedule this time and clicking on Eisenhower Coin and Chronicles at noon.

Thoughts?

No, just go onto the ike c&c page and start refreshing at 11:59 et. Then when it's "available" add 2 to your cart and checkout. And WAM, cam, bam, thank you ma'am US mint

Also agree. My wanting the set for the set is a minority position.

Maybe with the 167 sets still not accounted for, I have a chance to get mine.
I sent in the paperwork for them to open an investigation as to what happened to my sets.

The outcome will be a refund or 4 "scratch and dent" sets coming my way.
I hope they are holing the coins for people in my situation.

I'm still a little sour of this...it plagues my thoughts daily

So for the Ike set, I'm ordering twice and shipping to different locations. One way or another, I'm getting the HH limit for Ike.
