Doing pretty good there Zaggy.
Maybe I should just go for broke and get about $200 worth of 20c? I don't go to the bank that often these days. May as well make the trip worthwhile!

Why not? :) Ive been thru $150 worth of both 20c and 50c so far this week, just $50 of each I keep 'swapping' at branches everywhere each day after I go thru them! I need to 'buy' another $10 of 20c and 50c to keep the $50 of each in check tho...

It just occurred to me that 11g per coin x 1000 coins = 11kg. Maybe I will just get $100 worth so I don't need a wheelbarrow to take them home with LOL.

Done sorting. From 500 20c coins I got...
2001 COF Vic x3. All banged up unfortunately.
2001 COF NT x1. Not as good as the last one I got.
2003 volunteers x2.
2004 big head x1 my first!
2005 coming home x6.
New Zealand 20c mixed dates x4.
British 10 new pence x1.
A bit disappointing as I wanted some different COF.

Yeah, the CoF hunt I'm on is BIZARRE! Some bags you seem to hit HEAPS of them, others NONE! Like today and earlier in the week: NO CoF's today in the 20c! BUT I did get a 2005 Going Home with a BIG Cud on it! So: $50/20c: 2005 Coming Home - 4 (1x with Cud, 4-5 O'clock) ... and BUGGER ALL ELSE!! $50/50c: 1970 Cook - 1 (Really good one) 1994 Year of Family - 2 (1x UNC) 2000 Royal Visit - 2 (1 in pretty good nick, the other, OK. They were the first TWO coins I touched!) 2000 Millenium - 2 (no incuses) 2001 CoF Coat of Arms - 1 2001 CoF SA - 1 2001 CoF Vic - 1 2002 Outback - 1 2005 Games - 2 2006 - 1 UNC And a Fiji 1996... Im bummed about the 20c... I really think 20c are 'my thing'; cant say I like 50c near as much, so getting such a poor return was frustrating! Aw well... there is always tomorrow! :) |

Hey Zaggy, That 2005 20˘ Coming Home Cud is very hard to find. I've never even seen one yet, just read descriptions. Great find! Just that one coin was well worth it! Please post a picture if you can. life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved
