After reading all the posts about damaged MM's on the dies I am starting to think that's the cause for a lot of what appears to be a RPM.

I have no clue but it does kind of look similar to how a 1961-D/Over Horizontal/D 1c and I would of asked on that one as well.

John1, I always have to enlarge the pics. And I stare at them and study them ...
and every day I am certain that I know less than I did the day before.


On the 1961 there is a distinct sharpness to horizontal D -- so that's what I will take away from this thread.

The change in magnification makes for a startling difference.
